'Scuse me while I kiss the sky...

Experimental special effects shot. This was taken in broad daylight, at about 3:20 pm. -2.0 EV, WB set to Fluorescent. Leveled and USM'd in Photoshop.

Langit berperisa Ribena...

Thanks for the tech info on this shot. Very nice results. I don't use Photoshop, but I think I could try the rest and do finish work with MS Photo Editor. I like it! Sat 28-Apr-2007 17:23

Like A Woman

Beautiful. Soft. Fragrant. Multilayered. Much photographed. Men spend bucketloads on them on Valentine's Day. Has a darker, rougher side that is rarely seen, presented here in all its scarred, bumpy glory. See it now in a totally different light.

Still beautiful.

This originally was taken at my friend Fie's engagement but has been Photoshopped to death with severe cropping, multiple adjustment layers, a bit of dodging and burning, and plenty of Clone and Paintbrush to remove background. I consider it a milestone in my education in Photoshoppery.

See more at JustStuff by Juaini on Flickr.

Hm! Sounds like a good idea. Tapi yg lebih interesting: ada tak agaknya orang nak beli prints of gamba2 I? Sun 11-Mar-2007 08:41

Walk On

Walk On
An old photo of my girlfriends at Vanderbilt. Makes me nostalgic for those days...

Zura (far left) is throwing a birthday party for her fiancee tonight. I was supposed to have gone; I like going to these things because it's the only time we get together anymore. But I'm stuck at home with a cold, so no chance for me to hang out with friends. Old photos are the next best thing, I guess.

Film scan from Kodak T400CN. Fall 2003.

Home, Sweet Home; part V: Dust to Dust

I found this on my mother's dresser in her room. The leaves are dying because she accidentally left these in her car when she bought them. Now they're withering away. The dust on the leaves on the bottom is an imperfection that I actually like. I don't know where it came from but I feel like it fits.

Nikon D70s, 70-210mm f/4-5.6, 36mm + 11mm manual extension tubes stacked, 100% natural window light coming from camera upper left.

Home, sweet home, Part IV (aka Trinket: An Anatomy of)

There stands on the coffee table in my living room a trinket which serves no purpose other than to hold potpourri that has long ceased to refresh the air. This is a photo is part of a collection of photos that record the reason why it still stands there on that coffee table: it does so merely because it is pretty.

See the rest of this series at JustStuff by Juaini on Flickr.

Shot with 100% window light, with a cheapo second hand 70-210 f/4-5.6 zoom at 70mm (mostly) with a 36mm manual extension tube I bought for 5 dollars on ebay.

wow...nice closeup....eh how the hell do u manage to buy extension tubes for just 5dollars?crazy man....i want 1 s well... Sat 24-Feb-2007 19:28

actually it was 5 dollars for *set of three* so i guess one extension tube works out to about 1.67 dollars!! it was just that cheap because it was fully manual.. no AF, no metering, and you have to control the aperture using the aperture ring on the lens. cute, right haha Sun 25-Feb-2007 04:53

Mahirah

My lovely friend Mahirah, taken on her 25th birthday. Mahirah has always been one of my favorite portrait subjects because she is extremely expressive and full of life. Ever the heartbreaker, Mahirah as a photo subject has always attracted lots of attention to my photography back in university. I would consider this one the more sedate photos of her. Still lovely.
